Instructions for the X Crochet Stitch:
Chain three after you finish your chain.
Your chain three is considered your first stitch, you will then skip the second stitch and double crochet into the third stitch.
Yarn over, insert your hook into the second stitch, the stitch that you skipped, and do a double crochet.
Skip the next stitch and repeat this process until you have finished your row.
Picots are created by chaining the number of stitches called for in the pattern and then working a slip stitch in the indicated stitch or space.
The picot stitch is great to use for edging a crochet project!
The first picot stitch creates a wider looking stitch that is firmly attached to the crochet project.
To begin: ch 3, insert hk back into the center of the base st, yo, pull through all lps on hook.
You might like also:
-In (2, 3 )rounds always begin your rounds in the same stitch as your chain.
-If the number is written before the stitch 2 hdc work 2hdc into the same stitch. If the number is written after the stitch hdc 2 work hdc into next 2 stitches.
-Repeat what is written in the () as many times as it’s written right after the (). For an example: Repeat (2hdc, hdc1) 5 times. It means that you have to repeat the sequence work 2 hdc sts into the same st. 1 hdc into the next one 5 times. And you will get 5 additional stitches by doing that.
-At the end of each round/row please count how many sts do you have at the end of that round/row.
-These booties will fit 6-9 months, But you can make it in any size by changing your hook size. For example: in my pattern, I chose 4.5mm hook with medium yarn but you can work with 3mm hook with the same yarn if you want a smaller size. This means when you work with a small hook size, the bootie will be smaller.
