Since we are in winter and the weather is very cold, I decided to share with you my free crochet baby booties pattern here in my blog to make these cute and beautiful booties for your baby and warm booties so that your kids do not catch a cold.

The free pattern is written for size 0-3 months baby. If you prefer you can get the complete ad-free pink baby booties pattern printable PDF on Etsy Here.

This pattern is suitable for beginners and non-beginners in crochet and easy to follow. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to leave me a comment below.

It is recommended to use a soft wool yarn, especially for baby. I used soft wool from Alize Sekerim BEBE in pink and white color, using a 4.00 mm crochet hook for baby size 0-3 months.

For the stitches, I used a slip stitch, single crochet, half-double crochet, and double crochet stitches in the sole, and for the tope/upper I used a double crochet, X stitch and single crochet stitches.

If you decide to try it, I’d really love to see your finished crocheted booties. I like to see the color variations, sometimes I do a hat, then someone tries it with a new color or a new twist, and that gives me ideas and inspiration for the next one!

Alright, let’s get started now…

You will need :

  • Crochet hook size: 4.00 mm (G/6).
  • Yarn: wool or cotton in any color. (I used wool yarn Alize Sekerim BEBE (100 g, 3.53 0z, 320 mt, 350 yds).
  • Stitch markers.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn Needle.
  • Tape measure.
  • Ch – chain
  • St/sts – stitch/stitches
  • Sl st – slip stitch
  • Hdc – half double crochet
  • Dc – double crochet
  • fpdc – front post double crochet
  • fpdc2tog – join next two sts together with front post double crochet
  • X – X Crochet Stitch
  • Picot stitch

In (2, 3) rounds always begin your rounds in the same stitch as your chain.

If the number is written before the stitch (2hdc) work 2hdc into the same stitch. If the number is written after the stitch (hdc 2) work hdc into the next 2 stitches.

Repeat what is written in the () as many times as it’s written right after the (). For an example: Repeat (2hdc, hdc1) 5 times. It means that you have to repeat the sequence work 2 hdc sts into the same st. 1 hdc into the next one 5 times. And you will get 5 additional stitches by doing that.

At the end of each round/row please count how many sts do you have at the end of that round/row.

These booties will fit 0-3 months, But you can make it in any size by changing your hook size. For example: in my pattern, I chose a 4 mm hook with medium yarn but you can work with a 5.00 mm hook with the same yarn if you want a bigger size. This means when you work with a bigger hook size, the bootie will be bigger.
