Crochet granny heart square

Hello everyone! I’m so happy to sharing with you this beautiful crochet granny heart square. I will show you how to make a heart garland too. I added it in my room. You can add it in baby’s room, girl’s room and at parties.

I hope you will like it and let’s start.

Materials / Supplies:
You will need :
Stitches:
  • ch– chain.
  • st/sts-stitch/stitches.
  • sl st-slip stitch.
  • sc-single crochet.
  • hdc-half double crochet
  • dc-double crochet.
  • trc-treble crochet.
Pattern Notes:

-If the number is written before the stitch 2 hdc work 2hdc into the same stitch. If the number is written after the stitch hdc 2 work hdc into next 2 stitches.

-Repeat what is written in the () as many times as it’s written right after the (). For an example: Repeat (2hdc, hdc1) 5 times. It means that you have to repeat the sequence work 2 hdc sts into the same st. 1 hdc into the next one 5 times. And you will get 5 additional stitches by doing that.

-At the end of each round/row please count how many sts do you have at the end of that round/row.

-At the end of each round, we will join with sc.

This pattern is made with two colours.

Pattern:

Begin with a slip knot and Ch 3 (you can make Ch 4), and slip stitch in the first ch. Now we will work in this small circle.

Now ch1, cut your yarn, and turn your work.

I will change the colour, so I chose the colour white. Now insert your hook in any stitch and pull the yarn (colour white) and start the next round.

Round 5: after we turned our work and changed the colour make sc in each st, except below the heart in the middle make 3sc in the same st, and continue until we arrive at the of the heart in the middle and make sl st in the space from the previous round and continue, at the end make sl st in the first st to join.=(58) sts.

Fasten off.

How to make a crochet granny heart square bunting:

With colour white make ch 16, sl st in the first ch, ch 8, sc at the top of the heart in the right, ch 8, sc at the top of the heart in the left, ch 16, take your second heart and sc at the top in the right, ch 8, sc at the top in the left, ch 16, than repeat the same thing with the rest of the hearts, after the last heart make ch 8+16, sl st in the 17th ch.
