I’ve created a lot of different crochet designs lately, from crochet headband for babies to smartphone covers and beautiful bags for women. I sold many of these finished items, but I didn’t make the patterns! The crochet headband for baby I’m showing you today is one of these “unpatterned” (excuse my french) projects…

Every single month I think about what I’m going to create for my readers… Today, I decided I’m going to focus on baby patterns. When I reviewed my Soukaina pattern collections, I found out that 80% of my designs were baby patterns, it’s really what I love to do, though I also enjoy doing women’s and kids’ patterns. I may do more of these in the future, but for now, I need to load my “Soukaina Baby Collections” with awesome designs. The word here is #focusoncutebabydesigns. I enjoy doing those cute and cozy designs for babies all over the world.
So here is my third crochet headband pattern on the blog. It’s super super pretty, especially with the nice flower, and I can’t wait to see you trying for your baby or making a wow gift to your friends.

It’s a soft and comfortable baby headband with a cute embroidered flower. It’s quick and easy to make, you’ll need very little yarn and it’s perfect for beginners because you only need basic crochet skills.
No doubt baby will like it, and since you can create a few of these in a single afternoon, they’ll make a really nice baby girl gift. You can change the headband or the flower color as you wish.
Skill level: Easy – Beginner
Can I make the crochet headband in any size?
Yes, you can make or customize it for any size. You should have a tape measurement, and measure your head circumference, then make – 3 cm/1 inch. Or you can make chains (multiple of 3) and measure your head circumference with chains. For example I made 70 chains for head circumference = 42 cm / 16.53 inches (baby), but when you measure it with a tape measure without a stretch the result is 39 cm / 15 inches.
headband sizing guidelines:

- stitch markers.

Pattern:
The gauge : 24 stitches and 30 rows = 10 cm (4″ x 4″)
Finished size: 6-12 months or all sizes.
Crochet headband for baby:
Start with chains = head circumference – 3 cm (1 inches), I made 70 chains.
Round 1: 5 dc in the 3rd ch from the hook, skip 2 sts, sl st in next, Now repeat (skip 2 sts, 6 dc in next, skip 2 sts, sl st in next) around. (12 circles).
Now we will work in another side. Change the color and make 6 dc in the same st, sl st in next sl st, 6 dc in the next space (6 dc), repeat around, sl st in the 2nd ch. (12 circles)
Now if you want to close the headband, just make sl st 2 on the opposite side.
If you don’t know if the size is right, you just need to make chains. I’ve made 20 or 30 ch in each side of the baby headband. That way, no matter how old your child is, he can wear this pretty headband.
As you can see I made the headband in 2 ways, so any children can wear it!

I hope you’ll enjoy crocheting this cute baby headband as I did. Do three, five or even a dozen of these and make gifts, spread the love.
And if you have any idea or suggestions for a headband (or any other crochet pattern) you’d like to see on the blog, just let me know, and I will be more than happy to create a new pattern.
