Crochet Little Princess Sara’s Beanie

I’m so happy to share with you the Little pincess Sara’s Beanie with a cute flower for cute baby girls…

I made it with love, like my other hats for babies and toddlers.

Crochet Little Princess Sara Dress - Soukaina Collections

This cute beanie hat is part of a complete baby girl set. You can find the matching crochet baby dress here, baby headband here, and the matching baby booties. If you prefer you can get the complete ad-free little princess Sara set pattern printable PDF on Etsy Here.

I did this hat for a newborn with the Shell stitch in just 30 minutes. It’s pretty easy to follow and I recommend it for beginners.

You can play with the hat’s colors or with the bow or flower colors, it’s up to you. Possibilities are endless here…

If you decide to try it, I’d really love to see your finished crocheted hat. I like to see the color variations, sometimes I do a hat, then someone tries it with a new color or a new twist, and that gives me ideas and inspiration for the next one!

Alright, let’s get started now…

You will need :

  • Crochet hook size: 3.00 mm
  • Yarn: wool or cotton in any color.
  • 1 ball of Red color.
  • 1 ball of OFF White color.
  • Stitch markers.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn Needle.
  • Tape measure.
  • 1 Flower. (you can see the tutorial Here).
  • Ch – chain
  • St/sts – stitch/stitches
  • Sl st – slip stitch
  • Sc – single crochet
  • Dc – double crochet
  • Shell stitch – (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) all in the same stitch ( ch space).

If the number is written before the stitch (2 Dc), work 2 Dc into the same stitch. If the number is written after the stitch (Dc 2) , work Dc into the next 2 stitches.

Repeat what is written in the () as many times as it’s written right after the (). For an example: Repeat (2 Dc, Dc 1) 5 times. It means that you have to repeat the sequence work 2 Dc sts into the same st. 1 Dc into the next one 5 times. And you will get 5 additional stitches by doing that.

-In rounds (2-5) we always finish with 2 dc at the end.

-At the end of each round/row please count how many sts you have.

THE GAUGE: 19 dc x 10 rows of dc using a 3.00 mm hook = 10 cm / 4” x 4”

Round 1: Make magic ring, ch 3, 12 dc in magic ring, sl st to the first st to join.

Round 2: ch 3, 2 dc in the same st, 2 dc in next st, now repeat (2 dc) in next each st around, sl st in the first st. (24) sts

Round 3: ch 3, dc in the same st, 2 dc in next, now repeat (dc in next, 2 dc in next) around, sl st in the first st. (36) sts

Round 4: ch 3, dc in the same st, dc in next, 2 dc in next, now repeat (dc, dc, 2 dc) around, sl st in the first st. (48) sts

Round 5: ch 3, dc in the same st, dc in next 2 sts, 2 dc in next, now repeat (dc in next 3 sts, 2 dc in next) around, sl st in the first st (60) sts

Round 6: ch 1, sc in the same st, sc in next each st around, sl st in the first st. (60) sts

Round 7: ch 3, skip 2 sts, shell st in next, skip 3 sts, shell st in next, now repeat (skip 3 sts, shell st in next) around, sl st in the first st. (15) shells

Round 8-9: ch 3, shell st in next shell space, shell st next every shell space around, sl st in the first st. (15) shells

With Off white Color:

Round 10-11: ch 3, shell st in next shell space, shell st next every shell space around, sl st in the first st. (15) shells

With Red Color:

Round 12: ch 3, shell st in next shell space, shell st next every shell space around, sl st in the first st. (15) shells

With Off White color

Round 13: ch 3, 4 dc in next shell space, now make 4 dc in next each shell space, sl st in the first st. (15) shells

Fasten off, and weave the end.

Now you can add your Bow or Flower!
